Psyllium Husk, commonly known as Isabgol, is the outer coating (epidermis) of the dried ripe seeds of Plantago Ovata. Rich in soluble dietary fibre (>80%), it forms a viscous gel on contact with water, making it a critical ingredient in pharmaceutical formulations, dietary supplements, functional foods, and gluten-free baking.

SigmaPure supplies conventional psyllium husk processed through pneumatic de-husking technology, ensuring dust-free, contaminant-free output. For each approved shipment, the independent ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory and test panel are agreed before order acceptance. Testing is matched to the buyer specification and destination market and may include purity, moisture, microbiology, heavy metals, pesticide residues and, where required, MOAH/MOSH.
